OH MY!!!!! I told you I was  a bad Blogger in a previous post as I have not posted anything in forever. To tell you the truth I forget about it & when I do remember I forget again. There goes the "Sometimers" part of my life again. .....:"Sometimes I remember & Sometimes I don't & it seems like the don't creeps in more times than not. LOL I am still creating, love my ATC's, Tags & Cards. I also have a fun story to tell. I bought a Brothers ScanNCut about 3 yrs. ago. I originally wanted it because it could do all the fussy cutting for me. Well about two weeks ago it finally got used. Ooooooo how I could kick myself for not getting it out earlier. My friend Carla has come to my house to learn some new techniques with some different products. It has been so much fun having her come & play. Well on one of her visits she said......."We are going to get your ScanNCut out next time and play with it". Sure enough on her next visit we played. We couldn't figure out why it wouldn't cut out our image after we scanned it. We followed the directions.......Scan your image on the scanning mat then you cut on the cutting mat. So we did but when it came time to cut it didn't cut out our image. It cut out an outline of the image no where near the stamped image we scanned. We tried a few times getting the same results. Then between the two of us a light bulb went off. We just needed to put the stamped image on the cutting mat.......the machine scanned it & then cut it out. OMGOSH the excitement that came from my craftroom was never to be forgotten.......a lot of high fives and laughing like you never heard. My husband was going to look for a basket to come collect the eggs as he said "there was so much cackling going on he thought the two hens in that room were laying eggs. LOL LOL LOL  Needless to say we sat and cut out a bunch of images and even found out how to cut right along the stamped images like or leave a small to wider border around the image. What a day!!!! What a great day!!!!!!  Anyway I am going to try and post as I create....the key word is TRY. Hugzzzzzz, Your Bad Blogger LOL

Zentangling

I tried to Zentangle in the past and then just didn't do any more with it. Then one day I was at the Senior Center and on there monthly paper was a Zentangle class. So I thought what the heck. It would get me out of the house. Doris Wilbur is our CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher). She is wonderful and makes the classes so much fun. Once a month we meet at the Senior Center and from 1-3 we have a ball. She is so sweet, kind and patient. We learn about 5 new Zentangles and then make something. It is quite relaxing. One of the classes we Zentangled on shrink plastic, we we made a pin and a necklace. A few days later I had an idea. I was going  to make some shrink plastic Zentangled doll pins to give to the girls when we met next. Here is the birth of my ZDP.

It's official I'm an Apprentice
Drew the shapes
I use my hole punch for the hair, arms and legs. I drew the faces and then divided the body into 4 sections.

Now starts the fun. I Zentangled all the sections and colored the faces in. Here I shrunk all but one so you cans see the original size and the finished.
All shrunk and ready to get their hair done and get their limbs.
Arms and legs completed and the start of the hair. The hair is the hardest part.
Meet the girls from L to R - Scarlett, Emmy, LuLu (that's me), Tessa and Violet.
Here were  2 another class. We used the Zentangles we learned in class  and in another class we learned how to do gems. Not finished doing them yet. I can't find my pin that I did in class using the shrink plastic.

SPRAYS, STENCILS & SPACKLE OH MY!!!!!!!!

This is Laurie's Creative Play. I LOVE LOVE LOVE TAGS. So I mostly re-purposed the card board backing that comes in or on the items I purchase such as rubber stamps, stencils well basically anything that has a card board backing. I cut some into ATC's but most of them into tags. I also had some pre-made tags that I added to my pile. Then I just added sprays, stencils, wall spackle and paints.

Halloween Bottles

I have been having fun making Halloween bottles. I made one for my girlfriend Patt and her daughter Elshadi and two for myself. My purple one has a skeleton attached to the cork inside the bottle. I put coal, skulls, crystals and spiders in the bottoms of the bottles. I dripped wax around the corks and on the bottles. I used a red candle for the red. I  also added embellishments to the bottles. I really had a great time making them. You can click on the pictures to get a closer view.

My Craft Room aka Rubber Room

I think I am finally happy with my craft room now. I have finished putting all of my goodies in order (for the 100th and final time LOL). I would go looking for something to add to my art and I know I have it......just couldn't find it. Well not a problem anymore. I purchased the decorative photo boxes labeled them and now I have no troubles finding things. When I am ready to add things to my cards, tags, ATC's etc. I just pull down the box, pick out what I want and or need and put the box back. So much easier! AHHHHHH.........Life is Good!!!!!! I have been crafting for about 25 yrs and I still love it so much. I have tried about everything well almost everything. Rubber stamping, water coloring, Encaustic Waxing, Hand Stitching on card stock, Stenciling, Iris Folding, Tea Bag Folding, Pergamano (learned this in Australia from my good friend Chris), playing with my Gelli Plate, Quilling, working with clay, making jewelery, altered art and I even made an 8x8 scrapbook of my trip to Australia (would never do another one, did not enjoy that very much). I love Julie Balzer, Tim Holtz, Lost Coast Designs and Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley. I can create pretty, normal, a bit crazy and outside the box art. I love that I can create no matter what the mood I'm in. I have been creative in how I store things too. I use spinning spice racks to store my brads and eyelets, Pampered Chef utensil holders for my brushes and colored pencils, a metal rod with hooks that goes thru my shelf brackets to hang my decorative scissors on and an over the door shoe holder for my punches. Hope you enjoy the pictures and just remember........there are NO MISTAKES in your art, it just makes you stretch your imagination to create another step to complete your work of art!  Hugs
